The Four Blood Moons

Are We Entering the Days of The Great Tribulation?

There is much discussion today as to the significance of the blood moons we have witnessed recently. Only three times in the past 500 years has the four blood moons occurred back to back on major Jewish holy days. Each time marked a significant event in Jewish history of either tragedy or triumph. Are we again about to see something significant take place concerning the Jewish nation and possibly for all mankind? The next and final blood moon of this series of four is on September 23, 2015 on The Feast of The Tabernacles. Could it be possible with all we are seeing today in our world that we could be facing those last days John spoke of in the book of Revelation?

For most of my life I have been taught the Lord was someday coming back to take his children home. I have been taught from the book of Revelation many times. I have studied it and taught it myself. For many years it was a mystery to me that I couldn’t understand. It frightened me when I read of all the tribulation that would come upon this earth. As we often do when something frightens us I simply refused to study the book for many years. Later God began to deal with me on the last days and I found myself intrigued by the book of Revelation. I began to ask others to teach the book at our church. I also began to study it and the books of the old prophets in the bible for myself. The Word of God is not a mystery to those who have an earnest desire to study and learn from it. God will open our spiritual eyes and give us a deep understanding of His Word through the Holy Spirit that is living within us guiding us. The Word says it will teach us all things. I thank God for the guidance of the Holy Spirit, for its teaching me how to live my life for Christ and to watch for the signs of His return.

I have been troubled in my spirit by the signs I see taking place today because so many are ignorant of Christ’s teaching and have no desire to follow Him or prepare for His coming. Jesus taught us to not be caught unaware to watch for and know the signs of the time we are living in. We as followers of Christ are the children of light not of darkness we should be able to clearly see through our spiritual eyes we are facing what Jesus taught about in Matthew 24. Jesus’ disciples asked him, “When shall these things be? And what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?” We should also seek the answer to these questions. Let us read the answer that Jesus gave His disciples and us, His children.

Matthew 24:1-13

1. And Jesus went out, and departed from the temple: and his disciples came to him for to shew him the beauty of the temple.

2. And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.

(The temple the disciples were showing Jesus was destroyed for the last by the Romans in 70 AD. Jesus through His death on the cross destroyed the veil that kept us from the Father.)

Reference Luke 19:44 ⁴⁴ And shall lay thee even with the ground, and thy children within thee; and they shall not leave in thee one stone upon another; because thou knewest not the time of thy visitation.

Reference I Kings 9:6-7 ⁶ But if ye shall at all turn from following me, ye or your children, and will not keep my commandments and my statutes which I have set before you, but go and serve other gods, and worship them:

⁷ Then will I cut off Israel out of the land which I have given them; and this house, which I have hallowed for my name, will I cast out of my sight; and Israel shall be a proverb and a byword among all people:

(God allowed the temple the disciples were admiring to be destroyed because the people turned their hearts away from God and refused to follow his commandments and statues. Does this not sound like our world today?)

3. And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? And what be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?

(We are to discern the signs of the times with the help of the Holy Spirit through Jesus’ teaching and the warnings given by prophets of the Old Testament.)

Reference I Thessalonians 5: 1-6 But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you. For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night. For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape. But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief. Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness. Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober.

4. And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.

5. for many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.

Reference Colossians 2:8 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.

(Our world is full of man’s philosophy today teaching that we are our own God. They are teaching the Word of the true God is an offence to our freedom and way of life. Our government official are ignoring the Word of God making their own laws changing what has been the laws we were governed by since the time the bible was written. People have become vain, deceitful, seeker of the things of the world instead of Christ. They are trying to teach us that God’s Word is wrong and that the ways of man are what is right.)

6. And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.

Reference Revelation 6: 4 And there went out another horse that was red: and power was given to him that sat thereon to take peace from the earth, and that they should kill one another: and there was given unto him a great sword.

(Have you ever heard of so much war and killing, especially of Christians? ISIS is now beheading Christian in Middle East and Africa. The FBI reports they have investigations of ISIS going on in all 50 of the US States. People are being recruited right here in our own country through social media and other means.)

Reference: Revelation 6:9 and when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held.

7. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers (different) places.

8. All these are the beginning of sorrows.

(We are now seeing earthquakes and tsunami taking place destroying home while thousands of lives are lost due to hunger and other natural disaster)

Reference Revelation 6: 5-8 and when he had opened the third seal, I heard the third beast say, Come and see. And I beheld, and lo a black horse; and he that sat on him had a pair of balances in his hand. And I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts say, a measure of wheat for a penny, and three measures of barley for a penny; and see thou hurt not the oil and the wine. And when he had opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth beast say, come and see. And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth.

9. Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name’s sake.

(Christians today are hated for standing up for the Lord and His Word.)

10. And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.

11. And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.

(Some churches are going against the written word of God and teaching it is alright for men to marry men and women to marry women. Some of the churches are performing marriages between gay couples. Official are being forced to go against their Christians beliefs and sell marriage licenses to gay couples. This is wrong according to God’s Holy Word. See Romans 1: 21-32)

12. And because iniquity (sin) shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.

Reference Timothy 4:1-2 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;

Reference Peter 2:1-2 but there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.

(Many now say the Word of God is wrong and it discriminates against those who chose to live ungodly lives)

13. But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

Reference: Matthew 10:22 and ye shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved.

Jesus said no man knows the day or the hour, not even the angels in heaven but we are taught to watch and wait so we are not caught unaware. If we are facing those last days of tribulation Christ was teaching about as many bible scholars belief we are today, I feel I need to ask this question. How strong are you spiritually? Do you feel you are strong enough to endure the persecution that many Christians are facing today? Many here in this country are being taken to court for not taking part in what God’s Word says is wrong. They are having their business closed and their lively hood taken from them, fined hundreds of thousands of dollars, even imprisoned. Many in other countries are being killed daily for their faith. Are you, are all of us as Christians, strong enough to face being killed, maybe beheaded, as other Christians are now facing in other countries for following Christ? If not let us do what it takes to draw as close to Christ as we can through prayer, fasting, study and mediation of His Word. Let us as His children and ambassadors stand and teach all those around us of His love, grace and mercy. Let us not be afraid to sound the warning of the wrong we see in the world just as the old prophets did and as Christ did while he was here on earth. Let us tell others of His promise to come back one day and take His children home. Let us encourage them to follow Christ so they too can go with Him. Let us, as His children, stand for Christ!

Let Us Pray

Heavenly Father, I thank you for coming to live in our lives. I thank you for your Holy Presence I feel daily, for you Holy Spirit that dwells within to comfort and guide me through this ungodly world. I ask you Father to comfort your people and give them strength to stand against Satan and his demons. Please give me and all those who are your children the strength and courage to stand for you no matter what trials and hardships we may face because of our faith and desire to serve you. Help us Father to guide others to you. Give us the right attitude and words to speak so they will be drawn to you through our witnessing for you. Help us to love and not hate while we stand firmly on your Word. Lord, please comfort those who are being persecuted now for your name, strengthen them and hold them up. Lord, I you give the praise and the glory for all things good in our lives for you Lord are my Savior, you are Faithful, and you are my closest Friend. In Jesus Precious Name, Amen
