Snow From God

Snow From God

Snow falls lightly
from the sky up above
softly falling down
like the feather of a dove

each snow flake is different
like each one of us
falling to the ground
like snow often does

it’s steals away breath
this brilliant thing
so pure and refreshing
like the songs angels sing

they sing for remembrance
of God and his Son
throwing down these white tokens
to say winter has begun

white is for birth
the birth of baby Christ
white is for hope
that things are alright

each flake that falls
from the sky up above
is a gift from God
telling us we are loved

I pray you find encouragement and inspiration through our bible verses, poems, and devotionals. ~Jeanette The Lord bless thee, and keep thee: The Lord make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The Lord lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace. 1. Dear Accepted by Grace – Please post, so no one misses this opportunity to be part of an awesome organization and give a child a chance a life: I am writing to raise awareness of a Catholic organization that arranges sponsorship for children and elders living in poverty in Africa, Latin America, Asia, Haiti and Ukraine. You will see children and elders needing love and support, in the form of sponsorship, or funds for education, medical needs, nutrition and knowing that someone cares about them. There are 50,000 children/elders sponsored through Chalice. MoneySense Magazine rated Chalice A+ top charitable organization due to transparency, governance and use of funds ie 92 % of funds go directly to program sites. Refer to website. Tax receipts issued annually.

Today I am drawing your attention to Grace, coming 6 on Jan 05 who lives with her mother in a 4-room brick house in Chintu Village, in the Mpika district of Zambia. She is attending preschool at St. Charles Lwanga School, where she likes drawing pictures. She enjoys playing active outdoor games with friends. Grace thinks she would like to become a teacher when she grows up. Sponsorship will help meet her basic needs, including nutritional /educational requirements enabling her to stay healthy, to start school, to work through her grades and finish her studies to take her rightful place in society. Chick on the picture to see how sponsorship helps. Chrispine, Patricia and Joyce are also waiting for sponsors in Ghana.

Arnaldo, 6 lives in a temporary shelter in Paraguay
Santi, 44 with leprosy, has basic/medical needs, begs for food for her sons in India
Gonzaldo, 14 lives in an orphanage, wants to join law enforcement in Bolivia
Santiago, 7 lives in a temporary shelter, wants to be a teacher in Paraguay
Wirba, 48 treated for a chronic condition, abandoned by family, with basic/medical needs in Cameroon
Mariolita, 1 lives in a temporary shelter with her siblings in Guatemala
Anastasia, 7 has biliary dyskinesia with basic/medical needs in Ukraine

    Johnsly, Faraja, Ruth (11), Rena Mil, Marianna, Juster, Patrick, Reena, Sashmita, Shohfoola, Grace, Joyce, Adel, Hyasinta, Emile, Emmanuel hope to be teachers; Hope, Christian, Rodrigo, Maiappan, Rakesh, Claudia, Roudlin, Mandy, Micheal, Graciba, Godfrey, Francis, Eric, Linah, Sharmaine hope to be doctors; Angel, Chrispine, Anoop, Armando wants to join law enforcement; Roselore, Maniessa, Tina, Nagmenpono, Urmila hope to be nurses; Joseph, Ruth want to be pilots; Joy wants to be a nun; Rosse Mary, Beatrice, Erick, Amoly and Yessica want to be engineers; Yamil wants to be an architect; Josue wants to be a farmer; Naresa wants to be a health care worker; Jonathan wants to be a soccer player; Romina wants to be a chef; Ihor wants to be a builder; Alex wants to be a soldier; Nicolas wants to be a dentist; Rodrique wants to be a carpenter; Israel wants to be a football player; Roxana wants to be a detective;

There is also Joaquin, Patricia, Wilber, Soledad, Anthony David, Simran, Joseph, Maria, Edwin, Wendy and others. When the online form is completed, the picture is removed and another picture will be presented. If you are interested in sponsoring a child whose picture is not on the website, you may call 1-800-776-6855.

The concern is that a child will leave school as soon as he/she is old enough to work, out of necessity, unable to leave poverty behind. Each sponsored child builds the country. The elderly/disabled need help to dignify their lives and validate their person hood.

I sponsored Mary in Tamil, Nadu who lived with her mother and brother, until they moved. Also Milton, in Bangladesh who has advanced into his 3rd year of university.

Gifts can be bought from the website all of which empower families to become self-sufficient. I bought my granddaughter animals in her name so a family could start a small business. Farm animals, bicycles, seedlings, fruit trees, malaria protection, vitamins, immunization & vaccines, school supplies, art/sports equipment, water or sanitation systems, transportation fares, milk, food, household items, sewing machines, looms and others. Or consider a donation for a critical need such as the Haiti Recovery Fund.

Individuals, families or groups may sponsor a child. Kindly share this information with relatives, friends and others who are keenly interested in helping struggling families, especially the children.
