Enjoy Life’s Simple Pleasures

Sometimes I am almost overwhelmed as my mind deeply grasps how quickly life passes by. There is so much I want to do but I can’t seem to find the time for, like spending time in natural and enjoying the beauty of God’s glorious creation. I took a break earlier from work and went and sat on my deck in the swing. The sun felt so good and I lay down and closed my eyes. I could hear a bird singing in the trees above me and tears filled my eyes at the simple beauty we so take for granted. I savor ever moment I can now since losing the hearing in my right ear. We really don’t know how blessed we are each day to wake up being able to move around, to talk, to see the beauty of God’s creation and hear the beautiful sounds around us. God is truly SO GOOD and I know I am blessed beyond measure. Take some advice from someone getting older and not as healthy as I use to be, don’t let life pass you by. Take time to enjoy the simple pleasures the Lord has put around you, especially your family and loved one, time passes quickly and before you know it your opportunity could be gone forever.

Isaiah 65:18 but be ye glad and rejoice forever in that which I create: for, behold, I create Jerusalem a rejoicing, and her people a joy.

Psalms 34:12 What man is he that desireth life, and loveth many days, that he may see good?

Ecclesiastes 11:7 Truly the light is sweet, and a pleasant thing it is for the eyes to behold the sun:

Ecclesiastes 9:9-11 Live joyfully with the wife whom thou lovest all the days of the life of thy vanity, which he hath given thee under the sun, all the days of thy vanity: for that is thy portion in this life, and in thy labour which thou takest under the sun. Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest. I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all.
