Saturday’s Devotional

John 14:16-17 KJV
And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you forever; Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.

Jesus even before his death was already looking toward sending comfort to his disciples (followers). He knew they would face very trying times. We today also face trying times but Jesus sends His comforter to us just the same as He did those disciples all those years ago. God’s Spirit is truth, it is faithful. We have this hope because we know Jesus and we live in the assurance that He is always looking out for our wellbeing. YOU ARE NOT ALONE, in your darkest most lonely hour Jesus stands waiting to send His comfort to us.

Thank You Lord Jesus for you ever abiding comfort. When I am faced with trouble remind of your love and Holy Presence that is only a pray away. For I know in You I can rest assured that you are dwelling in me surrounding me with your love, mercy, and grace. In Jesus Name. Amen.
