Monday’s Devotional

Jeremiah 1:5 kjv
“Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.”

What an amazing promise Jeremiah had from the Lord. The Lord told Jeremiah He had known him, sanctified and ordained him to be a prophet before he was even born. The Lord has that same promise to each of us. He knew each of us before we were born and has sanctified and ordained us for a purpose in the time we are living in. Each of us has a purpose; a reason for living in this day and this time. Whether or not we fulfill our purpose is up to us. If you don’t know your purpose, ask the Lord to help you find the direction he desires for you to go; for there is no greater peace and fulfillment in our live than knowing we are living our lives in God’s purpose for us.

Heavenly Father, Just as You knew Jeremiah You know each of us and our purpose for being on this earth. Guide me Lord in the path and purpose You sanctified and ordained me for in this day and time. Fill me daily with Your Holy Spirit and a greater desire to serve You so when my days on this earth are finished I will rest knowing I have fulfilled my purpose for You. In Jesus Name, Amen
