Tuesday’s Devotional

Tuesday Devotional

2 Timothy 1:7 kjv
For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

In the day and time we are living in it is not hard to let fear come into your mind. We fear for our family and loved ones as we watch the death of others around us from the COVID virus. None of us are immune to COVID or to fear. Satan wants us to fear to the point we no longer trust our Savior. We cannot let fear consume us to the point we can no longer function or trust God. God is still in control and even though we do not understand all the things happening around us we have to be willing to put our faith in the Lord to even be able to function with any sense of peace. The bible plainly teaches us that in the last days we will see many things come to pass including pestilences. As chaos is happening around us let us fall to our knees and ask the Lord to surround us and protect. Ask Him to help us overcome fear with faith in Him; and to fill our heart with love for one another. But more than this let us ask Him to make us ready to meet Him when our time comes to leave this world for none of us know the day or hour of our departure.

Heavenly Father, we see the chaos happening around us and satan wants us to fear to the point we no longer trust You. Help us Lord to overcome our fear with faith in You. Fill our hearts with love and compassion for one another; give us a sound mind that is focused upon You and not what is happening around us. Strengthen us and give us peace in knowing when our days on the earth are done we have a home with You waiting for us. In Jesus Name, Amen
