Wednesday’s Devotional

Wednesday Devotional
James 4:14 kjv
Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.

When we look at our lives against eternity our life is but a (vapor), here today and gone tomorrow. Our minutes and hours run into days, then years and before we even start to grasp it our time on earth has pasted quickly away. None of us know what our tomorrows hold or when we will draw our last breathe. Every moment is precious and a gift given by God; a gift given to use for His glory. Our time on earth is precious, given to each of us to spend time with our families teaching them about our Savior, Jesus Christ; teaching them to love and care for other people. One of the greatest legacies we can give the ones we love is the legacy of loving Christ and loving others. Not just with words but through our actions, reaching out and helping that one in need, passing along God’s love each day to others. There is no greater peace and contentment than knowing you have filled a void in someone’s life, especially those closest to us. My greatest desire is to leave a legacy to my loved ones of loving Christ and loving others; worldly things are only monetary but love lives on forever in the hearts of those we leave behind.
One day each of us will face our last moment on this earth. As we draw our last breathe we will come face to face with our Lord and Savior. I know for myself, as I enter His Holy Presence I long to hear Him say “Well done my good and faithful servant!”

Heavenly Father, help us as Your children to savor and use every moment You give us on this earth for Your glory. Let our lives be a reflection of Your love and grace to others. Fill our hearts with Your love and let it overflow into the lives of others not just with words but more importantly with our actions. In Jesus Name, Amen
