James 1:3 kjv Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.
Many years ago, when I was just a young Christian, I said to wise older Christian lady that I was praying for patience. I remember vividly how she looked up at me with a smile on her face and said I hope you’re ready for the trials because patience is learned by the trying of our faith. How very true Sister Shirley was, for through the years I have faced many trials that have tested my faith and endurance. Yet, through it all the Lord never left me, never turned His back on me, walked away or said I don’t love you anymore. His love was consistent, ever enduring, always unwavering. So, through those trials my patience has grown and today I am still holding on to the best thing that ever happened to me, and that my friends was the Lord Jesus Christ coming to live in my heart and life.
Today, no matter what trial you are facing, the Lord is still with you. Hold on to Him for He will see you through whatever trials that come into your life. Keep your eye on Him and on that home above where there will be no more need for patience. For we will have finally reached that home of peace where there will be no more trials, no more heartaches, and no more tears.
God loves you my friends and so do I!
