God does not bless what his word forbids

Secret sin shall be revealed. No matter how much or how many times we try to hide the sins we do in darkness (secret) God will at some point bring them to light and they will be know. We can think something we are doing is not a sin but if we are hiding it from others then we know in our heart it is sin. The bible says no sin shall enter into the kingdom of God. Luke 8:17: “For nothing is secret, that shall not be made manifest; neither anything hid, that shall not be known and come abroad.” We cannot blame others for our sins, our sin is our sin no one else is to blame. We make the choice to sin and we are the ones who will give an answer for it. Revelation 21:27, “And there shall in no wise enter into it anything that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb’s book of life.” When we have a weakness (a sin) we find ourselves giving into we need to become accountable first to God by admitting our sin, repenting and asking Him to clean up our heart. Luke 8: 14-15, “And that which fell among thorns are they, which, when they have heard, go forth, and are choked with cares and riches and pleasures of this life, and bring no fruit to perfection. (Sin destroys our fruit) But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience.:” God will only bless those who have a good honest heart that are keeping His Word.

Once we admit our sin and ask the Lord to help us we then need to find a Christian person we can trust who we can become accountable to who will pray with us and help us overcome our weakness, only then will we find the strength to overcome those secret sins.

Do you ever dwell on your past or allow the things you have done in your past to cause you to feel you can’t do what the Lord has planned for you?

Often times the devil wants to consistently remind us of our shortcoming so we feel we cannot live for the Lord the way we want to. This is a lie of satan the Word of God says we as believers of Christ are already overcomers.

Revelations 2:26 it says “And he that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations:”

Revelations 3:21 says “To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.”

I John 5:4-5 says “For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?”

Believe and be an overcomer!

God’s Love
I hear the echo across the hills
The voice of our Savior quiet and still
He whispers across the meadows green
The Joys of such we have never seen

He tells a story of a Love oh so real
A Love your heart can forever feel
This Love is only found in His Holy presence
Its glow fills your heart with its glorious brilliance

A love such as this is hard to comprehend
For our hurts and sorrows it will always mend
It is send from the Father above you see
For all mankind including you and me

This Love is kind, full of Mercy and Grace
And with it we can with joy our tomorrows face
It fills our hearts with a peace so sweet to behold
As within us a new heart it will shape and mold

So come rest in the safety of this love you can trust
For Christ’s love is not driven by worldly lust
His love is a never ending pure love
That is only found through the Father above

So come feel this peace from our Lord above
Where you will be wrapped in His eternal love
For in His tender love you can forever rest
Safe and secure where you are eternally blest

Jeremiah 31:3
“The LORD hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee.”

mist of the storm

Through the Mist

When the storms of life are raging

And our future we cannot see

The peace for which we are searching

Can only be found on bended knee

When troubles threaten to overflow

The waves of the sea pound our shore

God sends His grace so we may know

He is always standing at our door

When we are faced with heartache

Sorrows seem more than we can bear

God sends His angels to ease the ache

To show us He will always care

In the Lord we can always put our trust

For our hope is in His amazing love

So from the worries of life shake off the dust

And soar through the mist on the wings of a dove

Lyrics

I come to the garden alone
While the dew is still on the roses
And the voice I hear, falling on my ear
The Son of God discloses
And He walks with me
And He talks with me
And He tells me I am His own
And the joy we share as we tarry there
None other has ever known

He speaks and the sound of His voice
Is so sweet the birds hush their singing
And the melody that He gave to me
Within my heart is ringing
And He walks with me
And He talks with me
And He tells me I am His own
And the joy we share as we tarry there
None other has ever known

I’d stay in the garden with Him
‘Tho the night around me be falling
But He bids me go; through the voice of woe
His voice to me is calling
And He walks with me
And He talks with me
And He tells me I am His own
And the joy we share as we tarry there
None other has ever known

Holy Spirit

The War between the Flesh and the Spirit

Do you ever feel like your in a war zone with the fighting we see all around us? At time we can even feel as though there is a war going on inside of us. Our mind and flesh wants to act one way while the spirit of God is prompting us to follow what the Lord says is right.

The world around us says “times have changed the old ways are outdated” yet God is the same today as He was when He created the earth and His word is truth and has not changed.

Jeremiah 6:16 Thus saith the LORD, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. But they said, “We will not walk therein.”

God hasn’t changed, people have changed they want to follow their own fleshly desires as they draw further and further away from God. But we as God’s people are not to follow after the things of this world but after the things of God, the old path. When we accept Christ as our Savior the Holy Spirit comes in to guide us. Even though our flesh is weak and wants to give in to the temptations of Satan the Holy Spirit is constantly trying to direct us away from those temptation toward the life that Christ has for us.

Galatians 5: 16-18

This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would. But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.

The Apostle Paul spoke about the war he fought with sin daily. We are no different than he was. Paul was an overcomer and we also can be an overcomer.

Romans 7: 18-25

For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not. For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do. Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me. I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me. For I delight in the law of God after the inward man: But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members. O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death? I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.

Paul was in a fleshly body the same as each of us is. Paul was tempted daily just the same as we are. Paul says my fleshly body wants to sin but the inward man, the spirit, wants to follow God. He knew the battle that was being fought for his soul.

Romans 6: 16 says Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?

We have to give our life to Christ just as Paul did. We have to become obedient to Christ and the prompting of the Holy Spirit.

Romans 8:1-6

There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.  For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death. For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh: That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.

We all want life and to live in peace. If we give in to the flesh and do the sinful things of the world we are not pleasing God this leads us to spiritual death. Yet on the other hand if we are willing to allow ourselves to be led by the spirit we become the children of God and find the peace we need for our soul.

Romans 8:9-14

But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you. Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh. For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live. For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

Even though there is a war within us we can overcome the weaknesses of our flesh and the temptations of Satan to live in the peace of God’s Holy Spirit.

Galatians 5:22-25

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.

How do we crucify the sinful desires the flesh? We crucify the flesh by staying close to God through the studying his word and by praying and talking with him on a daily basis. We cannot pray one time and expect to live a life for Christ. It is a daily battle, one that is fought on a daily basis. Then we must humble ourselves to the Lord’s will and learn to listen to the leading of the Holy Spirit when it prompts us to do something or to NOT do something.

I John 2:15-17

Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.

Heavenly Father, I pray that all your children will draw closer to you as we see the day of your return approaching. I ask you Lord to fill our hearts with love first for you and then for those around us. Teach us Father your ways and give us the strength we need to overcome the weaknesses of the flesh and the temptations of this world. Fill us with you Holy Spirit and guide us daily. We praise you Father and give you thanks for your ever abiding love and grace. In the precious name your son and our savior Jesus Christ.!

God Bless each of you! ~Jeanette

Heart

We are heading into a New Year and many will be making resolutions but instead of making resolutions the coming New Year would be a good time for us to take a good look at ourselves and examine the state of our heart and where we stand with God.

How often do we think about the state of our heart or if our heart is pure and clean before God. Jesus said in the beatitudes in Matthew 5 verse 8 says “Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.” First of all, I want us to consider what the heart is. What exactly is this heart to which Jesus refers? We know the heart pumps blood through our bodies, yet there must be something more Jesus is referring to?

Our heart is often thought of as the center of our emotions and thoughts. We often say “I love you with all my heart.” Or we say “Let us get to the heart of the matter.” In other words we are getting to the very center of the depth of our being. Again Jesus said if our heart is not pure we will not see God.

So how do we know if our heart is pure and clean?

We must example ourselves, taking a good look at what we think about and talk about; at the things we look at or let our mind dwell upon. The things that are most often on our minds are what our heart is set on. Are those things the things of God or the world?

There are so many things in this world that can tempt us and draw out minds and hearts away from God: TV shows, commercials, movies, games, Facebook, our phones, Utube, the people we pass on the street that are not dressed properly, the list goes on and on. All of these things will eventually draw our hearts away from God. If we are not very careful we then begin to think on then look at and do these things not acceptable to God.

Sin is all around us to the point we can become immune it’s effect on us. We begin to indulge in those sins and our heart becomes unclean before God. We no longer see the wrong we are doing and our hearts can become hardened. Matthew 15:8-19 This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me. But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men. And he called the multitude, and said unto them, Hear, and understand: Not that which goeth into the mouth defileth a man; but that which cometh out of the mouth, this defileth a man. Then came his disciples, and said unto him, Knowest thou that the Pharisees were offended, after they heard this saying? But he answered and said, Every plant, which my heavenly Father hath not planted, shall be rooted up. Let them alone: they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch. Then answered Peter and said unto him, Declare unto us this parable. And Jesus said, Are ye also yet without understanding?Do not ye yet understand, that whatsoever entereth in at the mouth goeth into the belly, and is cast out into the draught? But those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart; and they defile the man. For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies:

Jesus said in Matthew 6:24 No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.

We may try to hide our sins but the Lord knows our hearts. Nothing is hidden from Him not even out thoughts.

Jeremiah 17:10 I the LORD search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings.

I Samuel 16:7 But the LORD said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the LORD seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the LORD looketh on the heart.

The Lord was talking about David here in this scripture. We know David from a young boy had faith in God and often accomplished much through is faith and willingness to serve God. Yet David allowed his heart to be turned from God and be tempted to do things that displeased God.

David Prayed in Psalms 139: 23-24 Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.

Even David, a man God said was a man after his own heart (Acts13:22), had to examine himself and pray for God to forgive him.

Acts 13:22-23 And when he had removed him, he raised up unto them David to be their king; to whom also he gave testimony, and said, I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after mine own heart, which shall fulfil all my will. Of this man’s seed hath God according to his promise raised unto Israel a Saviour, Jesus:

If David had not been willing to examine himself and recognize that he was sinning against God then God would never have used David again and Jesus would have never been born from his blood line.

Yet David humbled himself, sought God and prayed to God in Psalms 51 for God to create in him a clean heart. Psalms 51:10-13 Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me. Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me. Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit. Then will I teach transgressors thy ways; and sinners shall be converted unto thee.

The condition of our heart matters. So how do we keep ourselves clean, and if we know we are sinning what do we do to make things right with God?

  1. We examine ourselves as it says in I Corinthians 11:27-32

Wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink this cup of the Lord, unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord. But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup. For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord’s body. For this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep. For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged. But when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord, that we should not be condemned with the world.

We need to daily take a look at our heart and lives to make sure we are living a life that is pleasing to God.

  1. We then confess our sins before God and ask Him to forgive us. I John 1:6-9

If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Romans 10:9-10 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

  1. We repent and turn from those sins Acts 3:19 Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord;

Proverbs 28:13 He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy.

We can’t hide our sins from God and denying them to ourselves and others with not save us from our sins.

  1. Seek God! Jeremiah 29:11-13 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. 12 Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you. 13 And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.

Deuteronomy 4:29-31 But if from thence thou shalt seek the LORD thy God, thou shalt find him, if thou seek him with all thy heart and with all thy soul.30 When thou art in tribulation, and all these things are come upon thee, even in the latter days, if thou turn to the LORD thy God, and shalt be obedient unto his voice;31 (For the LORD thy God is a merciful God;) he will not forsake thee, neither destroy thee, nor forget the covenant of thy fathers which he sware unto them.

   5. Fast and Pray if we have sin and boundages that we are having a hard time removing from our lives.

Matthew 17:21 Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting.

Remember the Lord loves you and only wants the very best for you.

Wishing each of you a Blessed and Happy New Year. May The LORD bless thee, and keep thee: The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace. Numbers 6:24-26 KJV

more savior

In the world we live in today most people have the concept that life is all about “Me”. People are always looking for their purpose in life and trying to find what makes them feel fulfilled in this life. There are millions of self-help books to help us find who we are and how to feel fulfilled, but true self worth is not found in the “Me” concept but in who we are in Christ. Each person is individual with talents that the Lord has given us to help us fulfill who we are in His Kingdom.

We were made to glorify God and be part of His Kingdom. The Lord loves us, we were bought with a price. The Lord is our strength when we are weak, our hope in times of trouble and sorrow. There is no other like Him. He is the only one who can guide us into our purpose on this earth.

Let us discuss some signs we are not fulfilling our purpose and what the Word of God says about each of them.
Six signs you are not fulfilling your purpose in life and what the scriptures say about each one.
1. You constantly think about “Me” and everything you do centers around you and how it will affect you with little regard for how your actions or lack of actions will affect other people.
We were made to serve first God then others. Our first thought for each day should be “Lord what can I do for you today and how can I help others physically but most of all spiritually?”
Romans 12:1 “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.”
Luke 6:30-38 “Give to every man that asketh of thee; and of him that taketh away thy goods ask them not again. And as ye would that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise. For if ye love them which love you, what thank have ye? for sinners also love those that love them. And if ye do good to them which do good to you, what thank have ye? for sinners also do even the same. And if ye lend to them of whom ye hope to receive, what thank have ye? for sinners also lend to sinners, to receive as much again. But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil. Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful. Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven: Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.
Galatians 5:13-14 “For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another. For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.”
Hebrews 5: 10-12 “For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister. And we desire that every one of you do shew the same diligence to the full assurance of hope unto the end: That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.
1 Peter 4:10 “As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.”
You lack joy and excitement. …

2. If you wake up every day filled with dread or with a feeling of boredom you’re probably not doing what you were meant to do. God has created you uniquely and has good things planned for you. One of the fruits of the Spirit is joy. Even though there will be difficult things you encounter that require patience and persistence, overall you should have a sense of joy and peace that fills your days, your work and your relationships.
Galatians 5:23-23  But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law

3. You don’t feel much fulfillment in life/You feel something is lacking in your life.
If you go through your days experiencing little fulfillment, you may be wandering from your God-given purpose. Fulfillment comes from doing rewarding, meaningful, purposeful things. From a job that taps into your skills and passions. From a relationship that involves giving and receiving. From hobbies that are invigorating instead of mind-numbing. Yes, you’ll have to do certain things that are boring and unfulfilling, but if you’re life feels empty you probably need a change.
Psalms 16: 11 Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.
Psalms 17:15 As for me, I will behold thy face in righteousness: I shall be satisfied, when I awake, with thy likeness.
Psalms 37:4-9 Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass. And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday. Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass. Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not thyself in any wise to do evil. For evildoers shall be cut off: but those that wait upon the LORD, they shall inherit the earth.

4. You work so that you don’t have to work. …
You know the feeling of pointless work. You go to the work, clock in, do your job, then go home and collapse in front of the television. You work for the weekends and for retirement and you find no joy in what you accomplish.
Matthew 6:25-34
Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment? Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they? Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature? And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith? Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.
Ecclesiastes 8:15 says, “And I commend joy, for man has nothing better under the sun but to eat and drink and be joyful, for this will go with him in his toil through the days of his life that God has given him under the sun.”
Would you say that this kind of joy characterizes your life and work? If not, you may need to rethink where you’re headed in life.

5. You feel stuck or have no direction in life                                                                             If you desperately want a change but also feel totally stuck in your life, that’s almost certainly a sign that you’re not walking according to God’s purpose. Those who are stuck want to go in a particular direction but don’t know how to get there so they spin their wheels, feeling endlessly frustrated but unsure of how to make the frustration end. Do you feel trapped, or feel like your wondering around aimlessly?

6. Maybe you don’t know God’s purpose for your life or you constantly feel a sense of aimlessness. You feel as though you’re wandering from thing to thing without any forward progress. Nothing excites you and you don’t have any specific goals you’re working toward. All actions start in the mind and what we dwell on is what we will accomplish. So let you mind dwell on God, think on the good things of life.
Philippians 4:8 says, “Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.”
As you think on the good things of God He will begin to show you direction in your life and give you a drive to accomplish His purpose for His kingdom.
Then,
GO TO GOD IN PRAYER.
Again, let’s start with the obvious. If you feel purposeless, ask God to give you wisdom and direction.
James 1:5 states, “If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.”
That’s incredibly good news. God wants to give you a purpose. He wants to bestow divine wisdom on you. God is not holding out on you to make you miserable. He desires for you to have a joyful, ambitious, purposeful life. Ask God for purpose and wait faithfully for Him to give it to you.
DIG INTO GOD’S WORD. The primary way God speaks to us is through the Bible. This means that one of the first things you should do in your search for God’s purpose is to start digging into scripture. Now, you won’t find any verses that tell you to become a dance instructor or painter, but you will begin to understand the heart of God.
Psalm 119:105 says, “Thy word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” God’s word brings light to paths that otherwise seem dark. In the Bible you learn how to live wisely in God’s world, which is the first step toward finding your purpose.
DETERMINE YOUR GIFTS AND STRENGTHS.
God has given you very specific gifts and strengths. Maybe you’re a math whiz or a wise counselor. Maybe you have a mind for electronics or business. Maybe you’re great at organizing people and getting things done. God’s purpose for you probably involves the things you’re already good at.
DETERMINE YOUR PASSIONS AND WHAT MAKES YOU FEEL SATIFIED.
What is one thing you’re particularly passionate about? Really, this can be anything. Business, art, economics, alleviating poverty, whatever. If you could choose anything in life, what would you love to do?
Determining your passions often helps you figure out what God has called you to do. It’s often said that God works at the intersection of our gifts and our passions. Where do your gifts meet your passions? That may be God’s purpose for you.
ASK OTHERS TO PRAY WITH YOU FOR GOD TO SHOW YOU YOUR PURPOSE IN LIFE
SPEND TIME ALONE WITH GOD IN PRAYER AND STUDY OF HIS WORD.
TRUST THE LORD THAT HE WILL DIRECT YOUR PATH AS YOU LISTEN FOR HIS DIRECTION.
Psalms 23:2-3 “He leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul. He leads me in paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.”
You may feel confused, but God doesn’t, and he will show you your true direction of life if you will just put your faith in Him.

We all like for others to think we are a good person, and so many of us do wonderful things in life that help others but the truth is being a good person will not save us. Only by our accepting Jesus Christ as our Savior, asking Him to come into our heart to clean us up will we be saved and go to heaven. When we ask Christ into our hearts he will begin to clean us up and give us a new purpose in life. I pray each of you will ask the Lord Jesus Christ into you heart and allow Him to fill you with His Holy Spirit and His wonderful peace and love.
