The world can’t understand Him, armies can’t defeat Him, schools can’t explain Him, leaders can’t ignore Him, Herrod couldn’t kill Him, Pharisees couldn’t confuse Him, the people couldn’t hold Him, Nero couldn’t crush Him, Hitler couldn’t silence Him, new age can’t replace Him, and unbelievers can’t explain Him away. He is life, love, longevity, goodness, kindness, gentleness, holy, righteous, mighty, powerful and pure. His ways are right, His words eternal, He never changes. His eye is upon me. He is my redeemer, my Savior, my guide, my peace, my joy, my comfort, my Lord and He rules my life!
I often wondered why King David had a heart that God loved especially with all of his flaws and sinful ways. Why did God use him as an example so often when he really had so many problems to try and overcome, when he failed to live according to Gods laws and in accordance to Gods will. Truth is that even though we love God, even though we try our best to live a pleasing life to God we fail miserably because our flesh is weak and at times we fail to do the things that we know are right but just as God knew Davids faith and love, He also knows your heart. As Paul once said “I have fought the good fight” let us fight the good fight that God may see the depth of our faith and love of our heart which is filled with our love for Him.
