
Meditation is focused thinking. When we think about our problems over and over in our mind it is called worry. When we think about God’s Word over and over in our mind it is meditation. If you know how to worry you already know how to meditate, you just need to switch from letting your problems play over and over in your mind to speaking God’s Word over and over again in our mind. Each time a worry comes to mind immediately replace your thought with a memorized bible verse. The more we meditate on God’s Word the less we will have to worry about. Our worry (lack of faith) is replaced with the promises God has given us. We now have established faith! When our faith grows our world becomes brighter and our steps become lighter. The weight we once carried is replaced with a feeling of contentment. We now rest in God’s Word knowing He is in full control.
Psalms 119:97 O how love I thy law! It is my meditation all the day.
